Key Responsibilities
- Deliver remote helpdesk support and effectively resolve technical issues to ensure user satisfaction.
- Monitor and address requests submitted through the IT helpdesk promptly.
- Manage the Service Desk for ticket processing, adhering to established priority guidelines.
- Adjust configurations, utilities, and software settings for local workstations.
- Utilize and maintain helpdesk tracking software for efficient operations.
- Document internal procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist with onboarding new users and offboarding departing employees in collaboration with the HR department.
- Ensure that each workstation is adequately equipped with necessary hardware and specialized equipment.
- Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral devices, and software applications.
- Maintain accurate inventories of all hardware, software, and licenses.
- Report issues to the IT Manager/EMR Specialist for further analysis.
- Oversee PC setup and deployment for new hires using standardized hardware and software.
- Assign users and computers to appropriate groups in Active Directory.
- Conduct timely hardware and software upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with our IT partner as circumstances require.
- Report to the office for special projects or as otherwise necessary.
- Execute any additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Active Virginia driver's license.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Active Directory.
- Fundamental understanding of networking and the ability to swiftly learn EMR systems.
- Capable of triaging IT tickets independently based on severity.
- Strong collaboration skills with key operational team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree (or equivalent 3 years of relevant experience); a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and an ability to work with minimal oversight.
